Sucks this happens, but I am so glad someone like Dallas got to represent on someone.

In hopes that the younger generations of Native Americans can break the stereotypes and not fall in to the footsteps of those who were so broken from the Boarding School days.. These kids give so much hope and I believe deep down in a few years things will change, based on how smart and devoted the youth is.

I will be watching this, tho I am sure it will make me sad, angry and over all just bummed out. But I have to see how they put it out there, the view they make everyone see. I hope it is done right, I hope it makes people finally stop and think wtf is going on!

I wore my favorite shirt today
Since I am a Federal Gov. Employee I had the pleasure to have the day off work, even if it’s for the most ridiculous holiday there is. We don’t even have the choice to work if we wanted to…

Had a few “I like that shirt” comments. One guy opened up to me about something he saw about Lakotas, which he had no idea about… I love when that happens, cause it means that person is open and I just feed as much as I can in.
And one older woman rolled her eyes at it…. I smiled back.
I think me looking as white as I do really throws people off… they wonder “why does she care?!”
To me, I can take the looks or if someone wanted to have a battle of wits with me over it and I am sadly always ready for a beat down also.. I have said it before and I stick by it.. I would get physical with anyone over this, not the most peaceful of ways, but it’s America right? You fight for whats right?
As long as I make someone stop and question what it means, or why someone would care I have done my job. I wear this shirt as much as I can.. cause most the time I have one my work clothes… and they say NOTHING about who I am.
